Itinerary:

Day 1: Arrival into Liberia airport (LIR) Upon arrival you will be transferred to our hotel in the beautiful area of the Pacific coast of Guanacaste in the Playa Hermosa beach town. After check in at our beach front hotel enjoy some time at your leisure on the beach. Monkeys are known to jump through the trees here. Paddle boarding and snorkeling is available. Later today we board our sailing vessel for a spectacular cruise on the Pacific Ocean. You may see dolphins along the way. Enjoy the sunset as we sail across the gorgeous waters. Welcome dinner tonight at the hotel. (B,D) Bosque Del Mar Hotel for one night.

Day 2: After breakfast we depart for our journey to the Arenal Area. Along the way we will stop at the Tenorio Volcano Park and take a hike to see the serenity of the turquoise waters and waterfalls. This color is the result of a chemical mixture of sulfur and carbonate, which originate in the Tenorio Volcano. The hike continues along the banks of the river and eventually passes hot springs, waterfalls and over some hanging bridges. Time for a swim stop if you choose in the waterfall. Next we continue to our hotel in Arenal with views of the Arenal Volcano. Each distinctive Junior Suite comes with direct views to the beautiful Arenal Volcano. Each room is surrounded by exotic gardens, and beautiful flowers, where Costa Rica´s native species of birds and animals are readily seen. Our hotel has a swimming pool and 4 hot springs ranging in temperatures which are 100% natural and rich in mineral as they come from underground sources of the Arenal Volcano. Due to high mineral concentration, while soaking in these waters, your skin is moisturized and refreshed. Enjoy the afternoon at leisure to enjoy the resort amenities including a Spa. Dinner at your leisure this evening you may opt to head to town or choose from 1 or 3 restaurants at the resort. Arenal Springs Hotel for four nights. (B,L)

Day 3: Today will truly be a special treat as we embark on a Volcano hike like no other. The best hike in the area you will be in the rain forest hiking to the top of Chato Hill, you will have the experience of swimming in the crater of one of the most beautiful volcanoes of Costa Rica, because of the green – turquoise lagoon in the top; you also will enjoy the most amazing views of the northern plains and some views of the Arenal Volcano. You will see a lot of wildlife, visit a waterfall where you can jump in and swim; you will go to the volcanic mud pond where you can rub it on your body to cleanse and detox. On the way to the Observatory Lodge we will pass two hanging bridges in the rain forest, great sightseeing for flora and wildlife around, we will visit the museum of Arenal Volcano to learn about one of the most active volcanoes in the world (From 1968 to 2010). Near the end of the tour during the sunset you will be able to see nocturnal wildlife emerging from the jungle. Finally we take you to enjoy the natural hot springs river where you can relax from a long day of hiking, small waterfalls will give you a free massage on your neck and back, you will have a Costa Rican popular cocktail to finish the adventure. Day 4: Free day to choose your own Optional tours ($) With so many options in this amazing country full of beauty and nature you get to choose your own experiences today. Options are Zip Lining, Kayaking on the Arenal river, white water rafting, hikes, horse-back ride, ATV tours and more. You guide will be on hand to assist you in booking any of these. You may also opt to simply enjoy the resorts amenities. After the hike yesterday you may enjoy a spa treatment with the onsite spa, soak in the hot springs and enjoy the pool. Enjoy lunch at your leisure. Dinner as a group this evening. (B,D)

Day 5: Club Rio adventure Day. (B) Your Club Rio Adventure Package includes Hot Springs, an authentic Costa Rican Lunch, Hiking Trails, River Pools and your choice of 2 of the following Activities:
Inflatable Kayaking
River Tubing
Horseback Riding
Guided Nature Tour
Climbing/Rappel Wall

Day 6: Today we transfer to the Monteverde Cloud Forest. Our journey takes us on a boat ride across the Arenal river and then a drive through the mountains until we reach our property. This will be a scenic journey as we travel though the mountains, forest and tree lined roads. Upon arrival we will have lunch and then head out for our Hanging bridges tour. Being in this high elevation above and within the clouds, the view from within the rain forest will be amazing. Keep a look out for the many birds, monkeys, sloths and various wildlife that abounds. Dinner will be at your leisure this evening at the property. Our hotel offers a spa, indoor heated pool, hiking trails and spectacular views. You have the option this evening of taking a night hike from the property to see the nocturnal animals that are not visible during the day. El Establo Mountain Lodge for two nights. (B,L)

Day 7: Your last day in Costa Rica is spent with a Zip Line tour – A tour through the jungle which consists of a series of cables attached from tree to tree on which you glide along using a pulley that it’s secured to the harness. You will be enjoying the tour safely as you soar through the rain forest. This tour is full of adrenaline within a beautiful rain forest. The Canopy consists of 12 cables and 13 platforms, traveling a full distance of (1.86 miles), making it the longest and the best in the area. Enjoy the afternoon as you choose and reveal is all the beauty of the cloud forest area. Farewell Dinner tonight as group. (B,D)

Day 8: Departure day. Transfer to the Liberia (LIR) for your return flight home. Flights must depart after 1:00 PM. (B)
